For my co-pilot that is. No opie to babysit today, I needed to go to the market, so it was time to expand the range a bit. First stop was the swap meet. The fog was back in full force this morning.

From there along the coast to the other side of town. Plenty of Co-pilot snacks make for a better trip.

Half way to the farmer's market we took a break to watch a giant date palm getting pulled like a weed

Then off to get some fruit, veggies and meat.

Even with plenty of cheesy crackers and fruit samples, energy levels were fading fast as we headed for home

Overall he trip went great. We pushed both time and distance further than we had before. The dividends were a bike full of food, some tired legs and a serious nap for Co-pilot while I am catching up on things.
Have fun, and Play outside!!!
The Sunday standard ride for veggies, sunny at home but heading into the fog.

Nice day for a ride, the weather is warming up and the crowds are out in force.

Even then there are still some quiet moments.
Homeward bound with a full load

Today was a good haul: 5lbs grass-fed beef, 2 dozen eggs, taters, onions, zucchini, green beans, corn, a bunch of carrots and 3 pints of straw berries. The best part about summer is the food sometimes. Today I met another rancher selling beef, there seems to be somebody at almost every market in our area now, and that is a good thing as far as I can tell. Our summer overcast has set in, but there was no wind today and riding conditions were prime. The more I ride my Roadeo, even with loads, the more I wonder why I have some of the bikes in the garage. There is a bit of overlap at the moment and it may be time to reassess the herd.

Happy Saturday - Play Outside!!!
Midweek sprint for veggies!

They cut the mustard and are getting ready for tha next crop, it is going to be a dusty commute until they get it in.

All bags full and back home in under an hour, not too bad, now its time to cook!

Find some eggs and smell some flowers!

Play outside!
I was on my way to get the vegetables when I decided to pull into McGrath State Park and explore some of the trails along the south side of the Santa Clara

The winter rains have kept things flowing, the estuary is drained out a bit and everything nearby is green and blooming.

Explored some of the trails through the canopy

Then back to the mission at hand, well stocked for the week and heading home.
